Riders in the Sky are personal friends, and we have always enjoyed working together. Joey Miskulin, the Cowpolka King, has produced a number of my albums, and the results have always been very pleasing to me.

Phillip Whiteman, Jr.

Phillip Whiteman, Jr., a Nationally-known Cultural Consultant, Presenter, Storyteller, Horse-trainer, Champion Grass Dancer, and Rodeo Saddle Bronc Champion is a Northern Cheyenne from Lame Deer, Montana. His father a Chief of the Northern Cheyenne Council of 44 and his mother the late Florence Whiteman was a Cheyenne Warrior Woman of the Elk Scraper Society. Phillip belongs to the Kit Fox Warrior Society and Omaha Dancing Society. He believes strongly in his spiritual ways and he tries to incorporate it into every aspect of his life.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is a really amazing event. I've only played it once, when I rode my horse Thunderbolt in the arena. This is a rodeo event worth traveling to see, if you are a fanatic. This is their website.

The Fort Worth Stockshow and Rodeo
The Fort Worth Stockshow and Rodeo is one of the great Western events, firmly planted in tradition. There are some great cattle and horses, and other livestock found here, in this city that is deeply committed to carrying on the traditions of The American Cowboy.

The Calgary Stampede's official website. This is one of MMM's favorite rodeo events, because it's still presented outdoors, and it's still got the Western Spirit that is missing in so many overly commercial rodeos today.

Black Irish Band
The Black Irish Band, also known as the Hooligans of Jamestown, have a musical style that is as timeless as the rugged landscape of the west, a tribute to the people whose lives were spent building the world we now take for granted.
